09:50 am - Ran into Pierre on subway. We discussed last night's episode of LOST. Both of us are looking forward to season premiere of Battlestar Galactica. Pierre is still pretty ticked about the addition of wrestling to Sci Fi Network. He does not need a recliner to express his rage.
10:00 am - Enter Studio and greet the crew. I make fun of Pip's shorts. He makes fun of my shirt. FACT: Pip's real name is Francis
10:10 am - Check for burnouts. No lamp needs replacing. Bummer. I always feel that burnouts before a show bring good luck.
10:25 am - The Electrics Crew is ready for me to focus the lekos on the upstage wall. Pip and I work together to program music
11:13 am - Jeffrey Swander makes fun of my weight on way to morning meeting. I push him out of the elevator. He makes it back in due to slow closing doors. Note: Do not seek shelter from an assailant by running into an elevator, because doors don't close fast enough. Better off running into open public space with lots of people.
11:15 am - Today's meeting. Lots of discussion regarding possible "Toshi update". No one is sure if we are going to do it. I would need to know so I have manpower booked. Tracy will let me know as soon as she can. Happy Birthday Suzie!!!
11:30 pm - Alina Chaban and I discuss "30 Rock" filming that will be happening over next two nights
11:38 am - Finished focusing music
12:00 pm - Get ready for "Rain Delay" pretape. John Greenfield brought in a different Rain bar. It worked much better. Greg Aull did a fine job with the rain effect
01:00 pm - Lunch. Nothing special, just a tuna sandwich.
02:00 pm - Music rehearsal. Jerry Lee Lewis will not be here until show tonight.
02:05 pm - Tracy tells me to hire someone for the "Toshi update".
03:00 pm - During today's desk piece rehearsal, Rachel Lasser drops off CD for tomorrow's musical guest: Barenaked Ladies
04:10 pm - Pre-tape in the audience for tomorrow's "Rain Delay" desk piece.
04:15 pm - "Toshi update" has been cut. The light at Joel's booth goes back to scene dock.
04:16 pm - Taping acceptance speech for "The Stoner Awards". Steve Hollander pantomimes the Masturbating Bear for rehearsal.
04:22 pm - Steve Hollander calls "Top of Show".
04:23 pm - Check cue 3, tell Pip to spin disks, and go to Cue 1. Tell crew to lose the lift.
04:30 pm - Take Debbie Wunder and Dan Ferguson's picture at homebase for Debbie's last day.
04:45 pm - Meeting for tomorrow's show. Blocking for "Rain Delay" desk piece will be complicated. We are going to start a little earlier tomorrow - 11:30am.
04:46 pm - Get a chocolate chip cookie from Green Room. Maybe Jeffrey is right about my weight. Eat cookie anyway.
05:05 pm - Go over rundown, airlock banter, call pre-show light cues.
05:30 pm - Showtime! Acts 2 and 3 change places.
06:33 pm - Grab a few slices of pizza (Thanks Tracy), and get ready to go for "30 Rock"
