For some reason this made me think of one of my favorite Old English nursery rhymes called "Sing A Song Of Sixpense". I used to sing it over & over again! One of the lines was "4 & 20 blackbirds baked in a pie". I started thinking & wondering what exactly was that nursery rhyme about anyway? The research I did brought up some strange tales of how the song came to be. In the end I chose to dwell on the positive spins which lead me here: http://www.gardnerpie.com/lore.html
