The Muppet Closet

Behind the door of Max Weinberg’s dressing room lies one of the most rare and legendary legends in NBC history... THE MUPPET CLOSET.

i remember hearing about this on Late Night, way back when Letterman was the host!! This is sooooooo......AWESOME!

Wow! I love the Muppets! How cool! Those pipes are a priceless work of art! By the way Kermit has a cameo in Mr. Magorium's Magic Emporioum! Everybody should see that movie!

The Muppet Show was my favorite show when I was a kid. Have you seen the old 1950s Wilkins coffee commercials? They are a scream, and they featured muppets created by the creaters of the Muppet Show!

Hello World

Oh! that is the best! thanks so much for showing this - the best closet!Very nice.

I had only ever seen a few black and white photos of this in a book about Jim Henson, and it seemed a bit of a shame to me that it was tucked away in the studio building away from where the world could see. Thank you for sharing this piece of history! Now, there's exposed piped in my basement, hmmmmm.....

So Cool!

Awesome!

This is so cool like others I've only seen the photos.
But this is real video of something beyond great that my idol Jim Henson did.
It's so great to know they left it there.
It really is a work of art.

Awesome, I've never knew about the muppet closet!

So many people have forgotten (or may have never known) that the Muppets were regulars on SNL in the very early days. Max's dressing room must have been theirs. This is so cool to see.

Figures why Max is the way he is today :P

Wow...so sweet to see it in all it's splendor alive and well!

I always loved that show too! :)

It's always interesting to see how artists of various genres leave their mark in random places.

Thanks so much for sharing it on here :)

I'm going to guess that happened beck when the muppets were a part of SNL in the '70's
